Holiday Greetings to everyone at NEOCHMM !

As an IHMM board member, I would like to periodically update all of our Certificants about what is going on at IHMM.

Both the Board of Directors and the Staff at IHMM are working very hard on our goals for 2017:

• The HMM Executive Director Positon has been posted and we are in the process of interviewing candidates.  We hope to have a person in the ED positon sometime in January.
• The IHMM has completed a Memorandum of Understanding with the CPCIF in China.  This is a Federation of Chemical Companies and they have helped us market our Credentialing Program at their last two meetings.   We hope to administer the CDGP and CHMM exams in China in 2017.
• The IHMM is continuing its efforts for Credential Protection Legislation in Wisconsin.   Also, to have the Department of Defense pay for Certification Exams for those in the military transitioning their skills to civilian life.

Of course, all of this marketing does cost some extra money.  For 2017, IHMM has raised fees to help cover that cost.  The Board is very careful about making effective expenditures and this is our first increase in fees in 5 years.

For more information, please check out updates to the IHMM website.  Take a few minutes to log in to your MyIHMM account and make sure your contact information is current.  You can start a recertification application at any time by continuously entering your activities for recertification as you complete them.  There is no need to wait until the last minute to fill out a recertification application !

The best thing you can do to enhance your credential is to make the younger members in our Profession aware of the value of the Credential and to encourage them to become a certified professional.
