I just attended our Second Quarter Board Meeting in May. IHMM continues to be very active. Let me highlight two activities that might be of interest to Certificants:
- Did you know that the Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner or “CHMP” Credential has been re-accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB) ? The CESB is an independent, third party accreditation body, and has granted full accreditation to the CHMM and CHMP credentials. This strengthens the value of your credential, worldwide, as not all environmental or safety certifications receive this accreditation.
- Did you know that IHMM staff recently traveled to China to inform some of the trade organizations in chemical manufacturing and distribution about IHMM? IHMM agreed to provide ongoing information about our Credentials, including exhibiting at some of the trade shows. Our long term goal would be to provide certifications exams for all of our credentials. This strengthens the value of your credential, worldwide.
