Risk Management in the GOM (Gulf of Mexico): Lessons Learned for Land-Based Manufacturing Operations

Lance Traves will provide a snapshot of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) risk management in deepwater offshore drilling operations and the lessons learned that also apply to land-based manufacturing operations. 

Lance Traves is the President of Labyrinth Management Group, Inc., a Strategic Environmental Health and Safety Consulting Firm in Medina, Ohio.  Mr. Traves has 30 years experience providing HSE risk management and compliance assurance services to industrial operations.  In April 2014, he was approved by the United States Department of Justice as the "Independent Consent Decree Compliance Auditor" for Transocean's Consent Decree with the US that resulted from the 2010 explosion and sinking of the Deepwater Horizon drill ship and resulting BP MACONDO well oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
